Our Story

We are a small, principal involved, decorative concrete company serving Northern California. Throughout the years, we have worked along side many decorative concrete artisans and have compiled a vast array of techniques, all of which allow us to restore or resurface almost any slab of concrete.

Our passion for the trade, and attention to detail, have allowed us to create an ever increasing, referral based client list. We serve the Greater Bay Area, and our portfolio ranges from commercial projects in the heart of Silicon Valley to high end residential projects. Wether you have a utilitarian or a decorative approach for your project, we look forward to help bring your concrete restoration vision to life.

Concrete Stain

Concrete Staining can be achieved with the use of reactive and non-reactive Stains. With reactive stains, a chemical reaction takes place between salts in the stain, and the minerals within the concrete.

Reacting stains, often times create rich, deep, and mottled effects with earth toned colors. However, the results of the stain are harder to gauge due to these chemical reactions.

Non-reactive stains, such as Dyes, or colored coatings, do not react with the minerals within the concrete, but rather, fill in the pores of the slab.

Since there is no chemical reaction taking place, color palette is broadened and able to include much more vibrant colors.

JFCR can create unique floors by mixing different colored stains, layering, and even combining the use of both, reactive and non-reactive stains.

Polymer Modified Overlays

Overlays are a great way of resurfacing a worn out slab of interior or exterior concrete.

Along with excellent adhesion, overlays also have very high tensile and fractural strength.

With the use of squeegee or steel trowels, different textures can be created, and when combined with the use of integral color and, or stains, a vast array of decorative finishes can be achieved.

When an interior floor is very uneven, or existing floor level needs to be raised in order to match adjacent floors, we can use a self leveling underlayment.

Using an underlayment provides us a smooth, level surface on which we can then apply the overlay.

ADVANTAGES:

No need to do costly tear out of a worn existing slab, and re-pouring of new concrete.

Overlays can replicate the look of newly poured steel troweled concrete.

Gives the floor a blank canvas onto which new textures can be applied, giving the floor aesthetic features which will compliment and tie in many design styles.

Concrete Polishing

Concrete grinding has become ever more popular within recent years.

With the proper knowledge and equipment, grinding can remove old floor coatings such as paint, epoxy, and carpet glue. In both, old or new, by grinding away the top layer of the concrete, a beautiful aggregate filled surface is exposed.  Whether the project calls for a simple grind and seal, or multi colored polished floor, let's work together to determine which option meets your concrete polishing needs.
